Using Tracts for Maximum Benefit

We all know that handing a tract to a person face-to-face is always the very best method of distribution to achieve the maximum benefit.  But, there are other ways to use tracts in reaching the lost and teaching the saved. Consider the following possibilities:

1. Include the tract with letters and greeting cards (birthday, anniversary, graduation, Christmas, etc).

2. Enclose the tract with Bible Correspondence lessons or graded returns.

3. Make the tract a part of the giving assistance programs: Warm Coats, Disaster Relief, Meals on Wheels, etc.

4. Take a supply of the tracts on trips (vacation, mission, business) to hand out: keep some in your pocket, purse, and glove compartment.

5. Leave a copy in rest rooms, in the seat at the airport lounge, on benches in shopping malls, on tables in doctor’s offices, when you visit a hospital room, when you visit a funeral home.

6. Give the restaurant server a copy when you pay the check.

7. Send a copy home with the children who attend Vacation Bible School.

8. Use the tract to begin a conversation about Christ and the church.

9. Distribute tracts as a part of a Visitation Program.

10. Use the tract to close a conversation, leaving something definite to read and scriptures to study.

11. Give the tract with a prayer that God will bless the person who receives it and that they will use it to their salvation.

12. Remember! Anyone can use a good tract, it always sticks to the point, it never loses its temper, it can be read and used when "no one else is looking", and it can help lead many more to Christ as it already has done.

Using the
Ready Reference Tract
for Maximum Benefit

Why this tract is so effective.

1. Many people seldom read the Bible or attend church. This tract may be the best introduction to the gospel of the Bible that they will receive.

2. The Ready Reference is a listing of scripture which is non-threatening nor intimidating.

3. This tract is inexpensive to purchase, small enough to carry in your pocket or purse, and cost very little to send it through the mail.

4. You do not have to be present to teach, the tract does that; however, by putting your address, or the address of the church, on the back of the tract it can send the recipient to a source for further help.

5. Many people who will not listen to you personally will accept this tract to read. This tract then sends people directly to the Bible, the source of salvation.

Other uses for the Ready Reference Tract

1. Keep a copy of the tract in the front of your Bible to use as an abbreviated concordance.

2. Use the tract as a class study outline: Carefully cover the 21 general subject about which people most often ask. Each main subject is divided into subtopics. Spend time studying each of these pertinent scriptures.

3. The topics in the Ready Reference make excellent outlines for talks in programs like Lads to Leaders and Leaderettes.

4. A year’s worth of home devotional topics is found in the 21 subjects of the Ready Reference tract.

5. Personal Evangelism classes and home Bible studies can profit by using the material in the Ready Reference tract.

6. Keep an ample supply in the church tract racks for visitor’s to study and to share with others.
