Born and reared in Chattanooga, TN, he is married and the father of a son and a daughter and has four grandchildren. Clevenger has degrees from David Lipscomb University, BA; Harding University Graduate School, MA; Southern Christian University, BTh, MRE & MTh; Berean Christian Seminary, SLD; Livingston University, Doctor Humane Letters; and Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, Doctor of Laws. He has served as minister for churches in the following cities: Athens, TN; Murray, KY; Russellville, AL; Birmingham, AL; Montgomery, AL; and Chattanooga, TN. He has taught at Russellville High School, Alabama Christian College of Biblical Studies, Alabama Christian College, Southern Christian University and Faulkner University; and has lectured at numerous colleges and universities in the U.S. Dr. Clevenger has served as an instructor, professor, academic dean, president of Boyd-Buchannan School, and president of Faulkner University. Glenda W. Clevenger was born in Henry, TN and attended David Lipscomb University. She is married to Ernest Clevenger, they have two children. She is retired and has worked as secretary to several corporate and attorney executives. She now serves as the secretary for ALL, the Ladies Association for David Lipscomb University. She did the bulk of the work on collecting data and collating information for the Index to the G. A. Annual Lesson Commentary. She is co-founder of Parchment Press and was the owner prior to its sale to Mid America Distributors. She lives in Nashville, TN. Glenda Clevenger.

Windell Gann Waiting on bio information. Malcom George is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University. He earned his B.A. degree from David Lispcomb University and his M.A. degree from Harding University Graduate School of Religion. David George is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University (B.A.) and Harding University Graduate School (M.Th.). He received the Timothy Award at FHU. He has preached in many part of the U.S. and abroad, including over radio and television. David is married to the former Judy Douglas of Jackson, TN and they have one son, Jason.
Donnie Hilliard, Married to Sherrie. They have two children, David and Sarah. Dr. Hilliard received his B.S. degree from Southern Christian University, M.S. from Troy State University, and the Ph.D in Family Studies from the University of Alabama. He is Director of the Cloverdale Center for Family Strengths, Montgomery, AL, at Faulkner University, 1996 - , Campus Minister, University Church of Christ, Professor of Bible, Faulkner University, 1985- . He is co-founder of Christian Family Development and also is co-founder of the Youth Workers Enrichment Conference. Donnie is editor for Our Families publications, Our Families Magazine and Good Kids. Dr. Hilliard has served as Dean of Students, Faulkner University, 1985-1988, Youth Minister, Homewood Church of Christ, Birmingham, AL, 1981-1985 He has conducted ground-breaking research on successful fathers and successful marriages. Wayne Jackson is an evangelist for the East Main Church of Christ in Stockton, CA. He is a much sought after speaker on the subject of apologetics and is the editor of The Christian Courier monthly magazine. He has written many books most of which are available either at Apologetics Press or The Christian Courier.
Louise Milam Julich
Furman Kearley has written many articles, many of which were published in the Gospel Advocate, Firm Foundation, 20th Century Christian, Sound Doctrine, as well as various other publications. He held a Bachelors Degree from Alabama Christian College (or Faulkner University). He held the MA Degree from Harding University Graduate School, the MA Degree from Auburn University, the MED from Harding University, the MTH from Harding University and the PHD Degree from Hebrew Union College. He was editor of the Gospel Advocate from 1985-1999. Deceased 2003.
James R. Petty
Mary Frances Petty Frances attended David Lipscomb University. She has served as an executive secretary to Presidents of business institutions and colleges, church secretary, volunteer and full-time. Her expertise in these fields contributed to her ability to write a book on the church office.
Roy Sharpe is a graduate of Greed-Hardeman University (A.A.); Oklahoma Christian University (B.A.; B.S.E.), Central State University, OK (M.E.), Harding University Graduate School (M.A.R.); and Middle Tennessee State University (D.A.). He has served on the faculty at Freed-Hardeman University from 1971 to 1979, when he became the minister for the Brownsville Road Church of Christ in Memphis, TN. In the fall of 1982 he returned to FHU to teach. He is married to the former Jan Wilson of Cottage Grove, TN. They have three children; Meg, Jon, and Rachel.
Jim Smith is a gospel preacher for churches of Christ living in Eldridge. TN. He is the author of several books including He Arose and One Nation Under God.
Leslie G. Thomas (deceased) was born on July 6, 1895, at Rutherford, in Gibson County, TN. He preached his first sermon at the age of 13. During his lifetime he did evangelistic work in some twenty states, and did local work in Birmingham, AL; Greenville and Corsicane, TX; Lewisburg, Dickson, Chattanooga, Bruceton, Johnson City, and Knoxville, TN; and in Asheville, NC. He lived the final days of his life in Chattanooga, TN working with the Brainerd Church of Christ. During his lifetime of service he wrote thirty books including seven books of sermons, The J. W. McGarvey's Class Notes (4 vol.) and was the author of the Teacher's Annual Lesson Commentary for the Gospel Advocate company for more than a dozen years. Thomas' Valedictory (last) Sermons was his final book and is still available from Parchment Press.
